What’s in the Winter Readiness Service?
Well it all starts with a thorough clean. Sponge, MUC off bike cleaner, and TLC. Wash out grime and grit from the wheels, drive train and frame. From top to bottom.
Rinse down with a hose, not jet spray!
Dry off with a chamois leather.
Then we start to check the setup:
Gear system check and adjust
Brake system check and adjust
Tyre check, inside and out
Mud guard check or install (if provided)
Bar grip check and adjust
Saddle and seatpost check
Stem and bar check
Finally, frame check
We will also provide advise on what to use on your bike to ensure safe riding over the winter months.
If any of these are not in good condition or requires replacing, then the client will be given the choice to do so. Parts are extra of course, due to variety of choice for the client.
All this can be done for any bike, whether it is a road bike, commuter bike, cyclocross bike, lesiure bike, city bike, kids bike, etc. Mountain bikes may need more time depending on the type of MTB it is, but we can discuss that with you when you come in.
Please note, this service is restricted to the Coventry area, UK, as we are a local bike mechanic workshop. Sorry if you are not in the local area. Do get in contact if you want some advice for winter proofing your bike.
